The most popular and softest band in the line is made from bamboo. This band is recommended for C-sections. All bands include 360° compression using medical grade elastic.
Our Power Compress Core applies targeted compression, which may help:
- Slim and support your belly, waist, and hips
- Strengthen core muscles weakened during pregnancy (especially helpful if you have an abdominal separation, also called diastasis recti)
- Promote mobility, helping you get back to your daily activities more quickly
- Ease back pain
- Provide comfort after C-section
- Encourage better posture, especially important during breastfeeding
- Offer support while exercising
Soft viscose from bamboo is ultra-comfortable on your skin, and gentle on a recovering C-section incision
- Covered in ultra-soft viscose from bamboo fabric
- Features our exclusive, latex-free Power Compress Core
- Up to 9" of adjustability so you can continue to tighten the wrap as you size down
- Product Height: 8"
- Care: Hand wash cold. Do not bleach. Lay flat to dry. Do not iron. Do not dry clean.
For optimal results, we recommend wearing the Belly Bandit Bamboo Belly Wrap 24/7 (except while bathing) for a minimum of 6-10 weeks after delivery.
The ideal fit for your Belly Bandit Belly Wrap is a snug one, with constant pressure on the belly - but without any impact on breathing or circulation.(If discomfort occurs, remove the wrap and consult your healthcare provider.)
Note: The first time you wear your wrap, it may barely close. That's ok. You want to have the length of the Velcro closure available so you can keep tightening your wrap as you recover and size down.
Question: What are the differences between the various Belly Bandit Belly Wraps?
A: The Original Belly Bandit Belly Wrap shares the same construction as the Viscose from Bamboo Belly Wrap. The difference is in the material. Where the Original Belly Wrap is uncovered, the Viscose from Bamboo Belly Wrap is covered in a super-soft viscose material. We recommend the Viscose from Bamboo Belly Wrap to C-section moms due to its naturally hypoallergenic and anti-microbial materials.
The B.F.F. stands for ‘Body Formulated Fit,' due to the wraps patented design of six support panels and two compression panels. It is covered in viscose from bamboo fabric and is shorter, 8” compared to the 9” than the Original and Bamboo Belly Wraps. For this reason, we often recommend the B.F.F. for women with a shorter torso.
Question: When should I start wearing my Belly Wrap?
A: You can start wearing it immediately after you deliver, but please check with your healthcare provider prior to use, especially if you’ve had a C-section. Wearing it soon after delivery allows the product to work while your body still has elevated levels of the relaxin hormone.
We recommend wearing it 24/7 (except for bathing) for 6-10 weeks, although many women choose to wear it longer for additional benefits, such as encouraging proper posture – and helping prevent back pain – during breastfeeding.
If it’s been a number of months since you delivered and you have doubts about wearing a Belly Wrap because you feel you are “too late”, we encourage you to check out our Mother Tucker compression shapewear line. We have compression tank tops, leggings, and our popular Mother Tucker Corset.
Question: Which Belly Wrap has the most compression?
A: All of the wraps provide the same level of compression; however, the BFF Belly Wrap has two compression panels, allowing for a more customized fit.
Question: When and how do I measure my body?
A: We recommend that you measure any time after your 8th month for the most accurate sizing. Here are some tips to properly measure your belly:
In the 8th month or After Delivery:
Measure your belly at its widest point, usually at the belly button. In the sizing calculator, select your week of pregnancy and belly measurement. The calculator will generate a recommended size.
Just Prior to Delivery:
Measure your belly at its widest point, usually at the belly button. Subtract 3-5 inches from the measurement. In the sizing calculator, select your week of pregnancy and belly measurement. The calculator will generate a recommended size.
Question: What size Belly Wrap should I get?
A: Accurate sizing is important, so please don’t guess! Also, do not rely on your pre-pregnancy measurements, as they cannot properly predict the size you will need post-delivery.
In between sizes? We usually recommend sizing down.
